So yeah, as I said before to you guys, I decided to exploring my father’s village (the place where I’m staying right now for avoid coronavirus). Actually, I have been staying here for more than 1 week, but I got depressed (?) and need to calm down my self. I just lay down and looking from some ideas.
I can’t say this is my first place that I visit, but let it be my first place for my blog, lol. So yup, it’s a river! What a pretty river! The water is very clear, with green view. so many trees out there. Mostly are coconut tree, the easier tree that you can find in Bali. It’s located in Negara Regency, at Penyaringan Village. About 80 km from Kuta, and takes time about 3 hours by car. That’s why I almost never see any tourist right here, because it’s pretty far from airport. But, If you want to feel “the real Bali” you can take little bit effort for visit here.
The river doesn’t have any formal name. The local people just call it as “the river under the bridge” (“tukad beten jembatan” in Balinese language). When I was a little, I’ve already visited this place. But, after I’m being an adult. I almost never visit it again.
As the name, the river is crossed by the bridge, to connecting the village with the another villages and main street. in the last 2018, the bridge had fallen down by the big flow of river. It was a bad accidents, and all villagers felt so sad. But, because of the efforts of the villagers and some donations also, they can recovered the bridge, and build the new one. I hope the new one is stronger with better construction.
But, we can’t visit the river all the time, because if rain season come, it has a big flow and so many mud also. but, if dry season come, the water is too little. Best condition to visit there is, after the rain season exactly finish, and the mud had been washed away. The flow will be so calm, and we can swimming right there. Also, it safe for kids.
We can relaxing by water or swimming (but the water is not too deep actually). I was feeling regret because I leave my action camera at home in Canggu. So, I can’t exploring under the water. The water is so clear! I did diving little bit, and pretty sure it should be so pretty down there. I found some small river fishes and river crabs.
About 1 hour playing water, me and sister decided to finish, and we went back to home. It just takes time about 5 mins!
And… this evening, we are going to do “gowes” (riding around by bike) so yeah, see you in my next journey!
